Updated Cleaning Procedures

To help our guests feel safe while traveling, we have updated our cleaning procedures in an effort to follow recommendations and guidelines set by local, state, and national officials. Our cleaning teams will place an emphasis on disenfecting high-touch areas and doing a deep clean of each unit between guests. In addition, all of our staff will be protected with masks and gloves during cleaning. Each unit will be thoroughly sanitized using a hospital-grade disenfecting fog between each guest's say.

Contact our team to learn more about our improved safety and cleaning protocols.

3 Mindful Travel Tips

Now more than ever, travel feels necessary for our happiness. But, it's also ever important to travel mindfully and cautiously. Be sure to plan ahead as much as possible, and if you're driving, prepare by getting all your groceries and supplies ahead of time.

#1 Be Up to Date on Local Regulations

Local regulations are constantly changing throughout the nation, and if you're traveling it's important to understand the current rules in place. The Sanibel Chamber of Commerce offers regular updates, travel alerts, and current safety protocols.

#2 Keep Your Distance and Avoid Large Groups

Be respectful of the personal space of others and keep your distance as best as possible while out in public. Follow social distancing guidelines wherever you go, and avoid congregating in large groups.

#3 Be Extra Patient and Understanding

Many of us have felt on edge for the last few months, and while we're starting to return to a sense of normalcy, there's still a lot of uncertainty. Be mindful of others and have extra compassion toward restaurant workers, locals, and other people who you encounter on your vacation.

Things to do in Sanibel Summer 2020

If you're planning a summer 2020 vacation to Sanibel, you'll love the smaller crowds and hot temperatures that are perfect for hanging out at the beach or pool. Sanibel Island is a top beach destination all throughout the year, known for its world-class shelling, pristine beaches, beautiful nature preserves, and laid-back island lifestyle.

The beaches of Sanibel Island are some of the best in Florida. Enjoy wide-open stretches of sand and crystal-clear water. Sanibel and Captiva islands are best known for their shelling, which is particularly great at the Lighthouse Beach and Fishing Pier

Nature Preserves

The Southwest Coast of Florida includes Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Fort Myers Beach, and more. This region is home to wildlife refuges where you can find manatees, alligators, aquatic birds, and more. There is also plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventures like biking, walking, hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

Boat Charters

Charters are a great way to get out on the water, and many offer private group charters where you can just be with your close loved ones. Go on a sunrise or sunset boat trip, see dolphins in the wild, go shelling, and more.

Fishing is one of the most popular pastimes in Southwest Florida. Whether you want to fish offshore, off a pier, or on a boat, you'll find a spot for it here. There is year-round fishing here and a wide variety of species can be caught depending on where you choose to fish.
