Ding Darling Days

Come celebrate the 31st "Ding" Darling Days at the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. This wildlife refuge is famous for its spectacular migratory bird populations and is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the United States. This 1-day event provides the perfect opportunity to explore and get to know this incredible resource.

In addition to a number of scheduled events, you can take advantage of on-going demonstrations and activities like face painting, fly-fishing demo, live music, archery, nature crafts, and more.

Sunday, October 20

8 a.m: Birding with a Biologist

9 a.m: Flag-Raising

9 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Stand-up Paddleboard Clinic

9:30 a.m: 4-mile Bike the Refuge

9:30 a.m: "Ding" Birthday Celebration

10 a.m: "Ding" Darling Day Amateur Photo Contest Awards

10 a.m: Live Animals by CROW

10 a.m: Nature Sketching on Indigo Trail (limited to 40) 

10 a.m: Wildlife Yoga for Kids

10 a.m. - 4 p.m: Wildlife Drive Trams (available every hour)

11 a.m: Nature Hike on Indigo Trail

11 a.m: Python Talk

11 a.m: Puppet Show

12 p.m: Cartoon Awards

12 p.m: Kids Canvas Painting (limited to 20)

1 p.m: Wildlife Oragami

1 p.m: Federal & Junior Duck Stamp Presentation

2 p.m: Snakes Alive

2 p.m: Puppet Show

3 p.m: Live Animals by CROW
